Counseling Services for Adolescents and Young Adults
Initial Evaluation and Intake Session
During the initial session clients and/or family will meet to discuss current difficulties and treatment needs. During this session Corinne will give her diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. Clients will also have the opportunity to learn how therapy works and ask other questions. At the conclusion of this session appropriate next steps will be discussed.
Usually clients are scheduled for weekly 50 minute sessions. Depending on the specific needs of clients and/or families more or less frequent sessions are scheduled. With progress, clients can be scheduled for therapy every two to three weeks. Clients and families can discuss frequency with Corinne throughout the therapy process.
Fees and Insurance:
Corinne is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. Those clients, who wish to get reimbursed for therapy services through their insurance company, will be provided with receipts which they may use to request reimbursement.
Animal- Assisted Therapy Sessions For those clients interested in benefiting from working with a therapy dog, Harry is available to participate in therapy. He is an 8 year old Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix and works well with both children and adults. Harry is especially helpful with clients who are struggling with anxiety or depression. Appropriateness of animal- assisted therapy can be discussed in the initial session. There is no additional charge for Harry to join a therapy session.
